*LYRICS*
Lyricist: Moira Murphy
*Verse 1*
On the edge of a knife,
I feel I’m falling over Life.
Fling open wide your Citadel
At the precipice of Hell.
I feel the mantle of a soldier
My existence smolders.
I toss the flame through the veil
At the precipice of Hell.
*Chorus*
I clear my path, A Scorched Earth
My flame births the ashes,
Here I’ll grow my worth.
*Verse 2*
It is time I heed the call,
Voice steely from the Fall.
Fling open wide your Citadel
At the precipice of Hell.
I feel the roar of my soul,
Fighting pain, becoming whole.
I toss the flame through the veil
At the precipice of Hell.
*Chorus*
I clear my path, A Scorched Earth
My flame births the ashes,
Here I’ll grow my worth.
I clear my path, A Scorched Earth
My flame births the ashes,
Here I’ll grow my worth.
*Chorus*
I clear my path, A Scorched Earth
My flame births the ashes,
Here I’ll grow my worth.
I clear my path, A Scorched Earth
My flame births the ashes,
Here I’ll grow my worth.
*Tag*
Up through flames I rise—
Finding breadth in the skies
Up through flames I rise.

The hurdy-gurdy always makes a fine accompanying instrument to electric instruments, and this is no exception. Here, hurdy-gurdyist and vocalist Michaelina is the primary focal point, and the band aptly supports her to create a neo-Medieval metal folk symbiosis. I love the title track, but going with Forgive & Forget as more representational of the entire recording Nickie Harte Kelly
